The Manitoba Selects, in partnership with Showcase Sports Agency, proudly stands as North America's premier youth football team, offering a prestigious program for aspiring athletes. As the reigning North American Youth Champions, we combine elite training led by Winnipeg Blue Bomber alumni with top-tier developmental and competitive opportunities. Athletes selected for this program demonstrate exceptional skill, drive, and leadership—qualities that set them on a path to college recruitment, sponsorship deals, and professional football careers.

Joining the Manitoba Selects means more than just playing football; it's an invitation into an exclusive network of top athletes. With the support of sports agent Kito Poblah, CEO of The Showcase Sports Agency, athletes gain access to mentorship programs, NIL courses, and fundraising partnerships with NFL Flag and local businesses to cover travel costs and expand their athletic careers. Whether refining your skills or preparing for recruitment, this program opens doors to new opportunities, helping you build both your legacy and future.

Program Overview

Ready for more tackle action? This is the perfect opportunity for athletes to build on their club experience and push their limits all the way to the Alerus Center in Grand Forks for an unforgettable showcase weekend. Afterward, they’ll seamlessly transition into our developmental training program, running from November through March, designed to enhance speed, strength, and positional skills under the guidance of high-performance coaches and former CFL pros.

This program focuses on helping young athletes elevate their fundamentals—tackling technique, footwork, agility, game IQ, and overall athletic performance—to prepare them for the next level of competition. Through structured training sessions, mentorship, and a competitive environment, players gain the confidence and discipline needed to excel both on and off the field.

Athletes will experience the excitement of playing tackle football in a Division I NCAA Stadium while developing the tools and mindset of elite competitors through ongoing skills and performance training.


Battle of the Prairies Selection Opportunity

? Elite Athlete Advancement

Standout athletes from the program will earn an exclusive invitation to represent Manitoba at the Battle of the Prairies, held in Saskatchewan from January 8th–11th, 2026. This prestigious event features top youth teams from Mexico, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the United States, providing selected players the chance to showcase their talent on an international stage.

During the club season, players who demonstrate exceptional performance, leadership, and commitment may receive a Red Letter—signifying their official advancement to the Manitoba Selects Battle of the Prairies roster.

Athletes who receive this Red Letter will be required to participate in team fundraising initiatives to support travel, uniforms, and event expenses as part of their commitment to representing Manitoba with pride.

Program Fee:

? $750 Includes training, team jersey, program T-shirt and shorts, and Grand Forks tournament entry fee.
? Battle of the Prairies (Saskatchewan) is invite-only and involves additional fundraising requirements for selected athletes.
? Each athlete will also receive a fundraising kit, giving them the opportunity to make the program completely free through sponsorships and community support.

Program Overview

The Manitoba Selects High School Program is designed for athletes who want to push beyond local competition and experience football at the next level. This program gives players the opportunity to train, travel, and compete in American football, facing elite opponents in the United States while developing the technical, physical, and mental tools required to advance their careers.

By competing in U.S.-style gameplay, athletes gain valuable exposure to college-level systems, speed, and intensity—a crucial step for those pursuing collegiate or junior football opportunities. Players learn how to adapt to American rules, field size, and pace, giving them a competitive edge when being scouted by both U.S. and Canadian programs.

The Manitoba Selects program bridges the gap between talent and opportunity by providing professional coaching from former CFL players and certified high-performance trainers, game film and highlight production for college recruiting, and recruiting education that teaches athletes how to communicate with coaches, build their player résumé, and attract scholarship opportunities.

Athletes will also develop advanced positional skills, deepen their understanding of offensive and defensive schemes, and sharpen their football IQ. The program emphasizes physical and mental performance, leadership, confidence, and resilience—qualities that prepare Manitoba’s top athletes to compete and win at the next level, both on and off the field.


Training & Games

? Outdoor Practices – October 2025
Location: Assiniboine Park, Winnipeg
Schedule: Every Sunday starting October 19th, 2025
Focus on conditioning, positional fundamentals, and team installs in preparation for the Grand Forks Showcase.

? Indoor Practices – November 2025 to January 2026
Location: Youth For Christ Centre, Winnipeg
Schedule: Every Sunday, beginning November 2025
High-performance training led by former CFL pros and elite coaches, focusing on speed, strength, positional mastery, and football IQ.

❄️ Winter Break Practices – December to January
Location: Indoor facility (TBA)
Focused preparation for the Battle of the Prairies Tournament in Saskatchewan (January 8–11, 2026) through competitive team practices, scrimmages, and playbook execution.


Showcase Events

? November 8th & 9th, 2025 – Grand Forks, North Dakota

Athletes will compete in this American football showcase, representing Manitoba against elite U.S. teams. College scouts and recruiters will be in attendance, providing athletes a chance to showcase their skills, gain exposure, and build connections with post-secondary programs. This event offers an authentic American football experience, top-tier competition, and professional game film for recruiting purposes.

? January 8th–11th, 2026 – Battle of the Prairies, Saskatchewan
? Saskatchewan – Invite-Only All-Star Tournament
Top-performing athletes will be invited to represent Manitoba at the Battle of the Prairies, competing against elite teams from Mexico, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and the United States. Scouts and recruiters from Canadian and American programs will be present, offering players the opportunity to showcase their growth and compete on an international stage. This event provides national visibility and the chance to make a lasting impression on decision-makers at the next level.

Through focused training, competition, and mentorship, athletes develop the leadership, confidence, and discipline needed to excel both on and off the field.

Program Fee:

? $998 Includes all training sessions, team jersey, program T-shirt and shorts, Grand Forks tournament entry fee, Battle of the Prairies tournament fee in Saskatchewan, and round-trip bus travel to Saskatchewan.
? Battle of the Prairies (Saskatchewan) is invite-only for selected athletes based on performance and commitment.
? Hotel and food expenses for the Battle of the Prairies are not included. Additional team fundraising will be required to cover these costs.
? Each athlete will receive a fundraising kit, giving them the opportunity to make the program completely free through sponsorships and community support.

TRAVEL OPPORTUNITIES (2024-2025)

Our top athletes will participate in multiple travel showcases and tournaments that provide exposure to collegiate scouts and competition against other championship teams from across North America:

  • Trip 1: December 27, 2024 - North American Showcase, Minneapolis, Minnesota All Ages
  • Trip 2: January 9-12, 2025 - Battle of the Prairies, Moose Jaw, SK 14U-Varsity 
  • Trip 3: February 16-18, 2025 - Sunshine State Showcase, Orlando, FL 14U-Varsity
  • Trip 4: High School Showcase, April 2025 - Edmonton, Alberta 14U-Varsity                                                                       

These trips offer incredible exposure, game film, team-building, and competition against top athletes from across North America.

Coaching and Development

Our coaching staff consists of experienced coaching and player alumni from the Winnipeg Blue Bombers paired with high-performance Coaches, providing expert guidance and mentorship. The Manitoba Selects training philosophy focuses on the holistic development of each athlete, balancing athletic performance and perseverance with personal growth. We are committed to helping our athletes reach their potential and pursue collegiate football opportunities.

  FUNDRAISING OPPORTUNITIES

To ensure all athletes have the chance to participate, we offer fundraising support to cover program and travel fees. Early registration allows athletes to engage in a structured sponsorship program, raising funds through family, friends, and local businesses. Our mentorship team works closely with athletes to create successful campaigns.

FEES & REGISTRATION DETAILS

At Manitoba Selects, we believe that no deserving athlete should miss out on opportunities due to financial barriers. Our goal is to make football accessible to all, and we are committed to working with families to ensure that payment is never an obstacle.

 

-Registration Deadline: November 16th, 2024

-Initial Payment: $499 + 5% tax (total: $523.95) is due at registration.

- Final Payment: $499 + 5% tax (total: $523.95) is due by December 7th.

-Final Payment 12U: Not  travelling $175 + 5% tax is due by December 7th.

 

Additionally, for athletes selected for travel, the trip cost is $350 per trip (14U-Varsity, travel not included). We encourage all athletes to take part in fundraising efforts to help cover these expenses.

 

If you choose not to participate in fundraising, full payment for trips is required before travel.
